Eid Stay-cation: Ski Dubai

We took another trip to Ski Dubai during our down week.  Luckily we picked a day that wasn't crowded at all and had a great time.

We had been twice before - one time for just a ski lesson for the kids to see if they were ready for a real ski trip (they weren't!) and the second time to just hit the snow park for inner tubing, toboggans, etc.  This time we did a combo trip.  The girls all did a lesson for an hour and then we changed boots and did the snow park for a couple more hours.  Given all the effort to get there and get this group suited up, it was much better to squeeze more into one trip.

Jane cried for days before saying that she didn't want to do a lesson and only wanted to do the snow park.  Well, guess who loved the skiing the most and can't wait to go back?  Yup, sporty Jane loved it.  Anna couldn't do a thing in the lesson the first time we went and now the girls claim that she was doing better in the lesson than Meredith (I think that was an exaggeration, but it was clear that the girls were amazed at how well she did).  Due to contraction at Ski Dubai, we couldn't see anything but it seems that Anna made it down the bunny slope on her own.

I also didn't take as many photos as we had been before and I took pictures then of the big round air ball we rode down the hill in, etc.

So it sounds like we've been cleared for a real ski trip so sign us up for Austria Christmas '14!

over the turnstile.  The parents weren't allowed
on the other side and the kids had to carry their
own skis.  Look at tiny little Anna with her

(and then they had to walk quite a ways to
their lesson).  I'm pretty sure had I been there for the
whole way, Anna wouldn't have done it all on her own
but look what she can do when she needs to!
