Our U.S. Schedule (Summer 2011)

I've gotten lots of questions about where we'll be when so I thought I would post our schedule.  For those of you in SF who have asked if we're coming back this summer, the answer is no.  We're pretty much on an every-other-year trip to the Bay Area so we'll plan on making it out there for Summer 2012 (inshallah - which means "God willing" in Arabic and is a *very* commonly used phrase when making plans).

--June 30th - July 2nd: Morrilton, AR (the great little town where I grew up at the foot of Petit Jean Mountain home of the first state park in the country - can't wait!)
--July 2-5: Little Rock for a big extended family gathering - cousins coming from all over the country and world!
--July 5-7: Back to Morrilton (July 7, we take Jake back to the airport as he'll come back to Abu Dhabi to earn a paycheck)
--July 8-9: West Plains, MO (extended family)
--July 9: Branson, MO to drop Regan off for her very first sleep-away camp at Kanakuk!!  She can't wait.
--July 9-10: Bella Vista, AR to see Meme and more extended family
--July 11-13: Morrilton (fishing, swimming, some relaxing time)
--July 14-16: Jane, Meredith and I head to Branson for some fun at Silver Dollar City amusement park, a water park and a Chinese acrobat show.
--July 16: Pick up Regan from camp
--July 16-21: Fayetteville with my brother.  Chance to see some Fayetteville friends and more extended family.  Plus dear Charlotte friend who now lives in Kansas City is coming to visit!!!
--July 22-24: Laura heads to Jackson Hole, WY for a 40th birthday celebration with some very dear friends (girls stay with my parents)
--July 24-26: Back to Morrilton to pack, relax and get ready for next leg
--July 27-28: Head to Nashville, TN to see cousin Alexa and her little boys (these dates are tbd)
--July 28-August 7: Back to Charlotte, NC!!!  Jake will join us around August 3 or 4th
--August 7-12: Asheville, NC to see Dan and Susan and our fabulous nephews, Zach and Alex.  The kids will do day camp that week at Camp Cedar Cliff which is supposed to be wonderful.
--August 12-21: Cashiers, NC at High Hampton.  A true vacation in the green, lush  (and cool!) mountains at this wonderful place that is a longs-standing tradition for Jake's family.  We'll get to see father-in-law Carl and mother-in-law Lynne and extended family of Jake's including his uncle from Washington and grandparents from Smyrna, TN
--August 21-29: We have a few free days during which we will make our way up to Washington D.C. for some patriotic vacation time.
--August 29: Flight out of Washington D.C. back to Abu Dhabi.  We'll have a week of getting over jet-lag before school orientation on September 4th.

Whew...busy looking summer!
