Summer 2013 schedule

Although I keep saying we are going to slow our summer schedule down, even after subtracting a lot of things, it still stays very busy!

Here is our summer schedule for those who want to know where we will be when and if we will overlap anywhere at all.

Turkey trip:

--June 22-24: Ephesus

--June 24-29:  Gulet trip along the less developed Mediterranean coast

--June 29-July 3: Istanbul (fingers crossed these protests calm down before then!)

US leg:

--July 3-4: Back to Abu Dhabi

--July 5 - fly to Chicago, get to break up trip with an overnight and just found out the Bartons weekends plans changed so we'll now be able to see them!  So excited to see friends who left Abu Dhabi last year

--July 6: Little Rock with extended McKuin family

--July 7: continued family celebrations on top of Petit Jean Mountain 

--July 8-10: Morrilton and Petit Jean (possibly going back and forth or mainly staying on PJ) - seeing friends and family, eye doctor appointments, a TARGET run (can't wait!), sorting through online shopping boxes, etc. etc.

--July 11-15: Fayetteville at John's house.  Weekend for extended Scroggin family gathering

--July 16-19:  Back to Petit Jean/ Morrilton?  Pack trunks for camp

--July 20: Take Regan and Jane to Kanakuk near Branson, MO

--July 21-24:  This is a surprise for Mere so don't tell:  Take Meredith to New York for fun mother/ daughter trip while Anna gets to bond with Gammy and Poppy.  We'll see Martha, Andrew & Kameron and hit some museums.  We have hair appointments at Dry Bar and Lion King tickets.

--July 24-25: Back to Morrilton/ Petit Jean

--July 26: Head up to Missouri to fetch girls from camp.  Stay at College of the Ozarks hotel run by college students!

--July 27: Early morning at Kanakuk for parent event and hear about camp week and hug my girls

--July 27-30: A little vacation at Big Cedar Lodge (John will join us for the weekend and Nibal and her family will come down to say hello on Tuesday)

--July 31:  PACK!

--August 1-2: Head to Nashville to see Alexa and the boys

--August 3-9: Charlotte.  Catch up with friends, doctor's appointments.  Jake flies in that week so a much needed reunion with him

--August 9-13: Asheville with Dan, Susan and the boys

--August 13-18: High Hampton (I think this is our family's 6th year in a row there) with Grandpa Carl & Gaga, Dan, Susan and the boys

--August 18: Head to Smyrna, TN to see Grandma Mom

--August 20: Fly back to Abu Dhabi!

--August 21:  Arrive in Abu Dhabi

--August 24: School orientation

--August 25: First day of school - whew, not a lot of time to get over jet lag this year!
