Christmas Day!

Another very fun and special Christmas with four little excited, wide-eyed little girls.  Thanks, family, for the generous gifts sent.  Our girls have had a lovely, lovely day!

The girls dressed themselves in matching red and white outfits
on Christmas Eve - it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

At a friend's house in Christmas Eve - brave family fed and
entertained 24 kids (plus parents!).  Now the kids are on the sofa
anxiously awaiting a special surprise guest (and Meredith *really*
was anxious!)

Anna (who can usually rally with the best of them) was so tired that
she fell sleep in my arms after the special visitor.

Excited or scared?  A little bit of both!

A well-coorindated party meant individual presents for all the kids -
wrapped in the same paper.  Go, Jennifer - what a hostess
coordinating all the moms like that to get gifts in advance so they could
all be wrapped in matching paper for the Big Guy.

Afterwards she said she was scared but Anna dutifully climbed
into Santa's lap to claim her gift.

Good night Christmas stories

It's Christmas morning! What did Santa bring??

Wow - Regan found a new bike hiding behind the couch

Even though Anna doesn't like water to touch her face, she was happy
to try out the new snorkeling gear from Uncle Dan and Aunt Susan.
Jake took them to the pool later in the day to test them out and
the (big) girls give them a big thumbs up (although they only want to use
them in a swimming pool as they are afraid of what they might
find in the beach water!  Hopefully we'll get them over that fear
before our Turkey trip in June where we plan to snorkel.

Jane busy with Legos from Uncle Dan and Aunt Susan (in
her new pajamas from Ms. Leah)

Even Dad got invited into Anna's special lair

New American Girl outfits from Gammy and Poppy

Anna *still* enjoying her castle (and inviting in more visitors!)

We finally finished our last 1000-piece puzzle on Christmas Day - before
my self-imposed deadline of being able to clean off the dining table
for Christmas dinner.  All that blue sky was *hard* but Regan and Jane, our
little puzzlers, helped until the end!

New outfit from Gaga and Grandpa Carl

Look at this adorable decoration the girls made (to hang
over their beds)  - each stocking has one of Jane's
stuffed animals'  nameson it.  This is hanging above her bed.

Homemade Christmas poster for Regan's room, too.
Fewer stockings because she has fewer stuffed
animals than Jane.  She included a pot over the
fire so we can cook some soup!

Taking the new scooter from Gaga and Grandpa Carl
for a spin.  Anna is adorable riding this thing - she
hasn't quite gotten the "glide" part down so she
kind of hobbles along.  She was also excited by
her new clothes from Aunt Mary Ann and Uncle Bob.

Regan on her new bike and Jane on her new scooter (from Gaga
and Grandpa Carl).  Regan has to be brave to get on her bike as she
can't reach the seat until she starts peddling.  She had an almost
tumble but has figured it out pretty well.

After Jane took a tumble, Mom got a turn (and Mere rides her
new scooter in the background)
