Spring photos

Some photos taken throughout the spring.

Anna riding her new scooter that she got for her birthday

Getting to see my cousin, Abby, who just moved to Kuwait with her family

Sweet big sister Meredith helping Anna take her medicine for her bronchitis

Meredith's book club book and their posters advertising the race in "Stone Fox"

The golfing gals of ACS

Love these fourth graders!

Lucky me - I got to take these sweet middle schoolers out to dinner and to a fun hip-hop/ rap version of Shakespeare's Othello as a part of the Abu Dhabi festival.  Clearly our school is supportive of the arts in Abu Dhabi as I think I knew about 20% of the people in the theater!

Meredith and her friend Khamilah were so excited to see that Meredith's American Girl doll had an outfit that just happened to match Khamilah's!

*Finally* getting around to decorating Jane's annual birthday gingerbread house that she gets from Gammy & Poppy.  We thought she might be outgrowing the funny January tradition so Gammy sent it for Christmas instead.  But there were loud protests from the girls on Christmas morning so I quietly put it away and re-wrapped it for Jane's birthday.  Smiles all around!

Just going for a walk around the neighborhood...  seeing the local chickens!

Indian food night and picnicking in our front yard

Learning about the business world in 4th grade. The kids come up with a business, make a commercial and plan for how to run it and get people to buy their stuff.  Jane and her friend Maya have a carnival booth at the annual "Mall Day"

Anna on stage for a school assembly.  The KG2-ers are teaching the rest of the school about healthy eating.

Anna saying her line, "Why would you want to do that???" after the other kids talk about eating lots of fruits and vegetables (perfect line for my kid who doesn't love fruit and veggies!)

Singing a song about eating a rainbow

Field Day at the school.  I helped run the "cool down" booth where there was shade and water on this warm day.  My booth wasn't as much fun as the others but I still got to see my kids cycle through.  They are dropping clothes pins into a bucket using their elbows.
