Big news in our 'hood. After almost two years of construction, Abu Dhabi's big, new central park opened up and it's within walking distance of our house. No one walks anywhere in Abu Dhabi (for transportation) so it's so fun to have something so close to us.
After one failed attempt (I though the grand opening was a week before and we showed up when it was still closed!), we made it there on opening weekend. The park as a couple of food trucks (wow - Abu Dhabi is catching up with that trend finally!), a cafe, free outdoor sunset movies, a lawn/ concert venue, yoga classes, a petting zoo, a farmer's market (!) and more. Woo-hoo! Here are a few photos and we hope we get to check it out some more before it really heats up for summer. Regan wasn't with us as she was with a friend working on a science project.

| Starting off our tour with the bluest, most tongue-dying cotton candy. Luckily the cups were small! Lots of food kiosks set up for the weekend. |
