Meanwhile back at the ranch.... While Mere and Mom are bee-bopping around Manhattan, Regan and Jane are busy at Kamp Kanakuk K-7 for Regan's 3rd year and Jane's 2nd. Since it wasn't anyone's first time, this was a pretty stress free week for me as I worried much less!
Jane still had a bit of a hard time at drop-off but only because of the thunder and lightening (which she does not like). She assured me she was fine after it stopped and they both went on to have a wonderful week.
Kanakuk is a pretty special place and I love that although we live so far away that we can find a way for our girls to experience this piece of American tradition each summer.

Jane's dog, Sydney, made the packing cut
and could go to Kanakuk with her |

 |
| Jane's glad Sydney is there while she gets settled into her teepee |

did love Bri - still talks about her |

All packed up at the end of the week. Regan's
trunk is the pink one on top |

Jane with Bre, Courtney and Emily. She received a wonderful
award from them and had an amazing week. |
 |
Regan with her counselors. She received the "Hero's Award"
the third year in a row where she received a necklace with a
widow's mite symbolizing that Regan gave all she had that week. |

Jane received a camp-wide "Gentle Spirit"
Award. I'm so thankful for the counselors
and leadership at Kanakuk who get to know
my girls so well during this week.
See you next year, Kanakuk! |
