This is a *huge* milestone year for our family. Anna, at 4 1/2, is old enough for our school's pre-K program (called KG1). Her school started a few days later than the others so a different first day of school, but it means now that all the girls are at the same school with the same drop-off and pick-up schedule. I was a bit emotional during Anna's last day of nursery school and really expected for it to be the same at drop-off but it was busy enough that I didn't really have time to think about it until I got back to the car. Anna's teacher is a very sweet and soft-spoken teacher from Scotland. I think she will have a wonderful year.
Regan, Jane and Meredith all had great first days back at school. Meredith was completely exhausted after a couple of days but she has the same teacher this year (she moved up to 1st grade just like the kids) which has made it a very easy transition.
Jane really wanted Regan's previous 3rd grade teacher and was thrilled to get her as well as have two really good friends in her class. And Regan has a new teacher at our school who seems just lovely. So all-in-all, we are all very happy about teacher assignments.
So school year 2013-14: Regan (5th grade), Jane (3rd), Meredith (1st) and Anna (KG1)
