Decorating project in Anna's room

We've now been in Abu Dhabi for more than two years and our house is mostly settled but we had never really tackled decorating the girls' bedrooms.  So that will be the focus of my house efforts this year.  We still have a ways to go but we made progress this weekend with a wall decal project.  We are all so pleased with it that now all the girls want one in their room!  In fact, this will probably be Jane's room next year (we will likely move Anna into Meredith's room next year when she goes to "big kid" school and let Jane have her own room.

Here are some photos (I still need to do a few more things in Anna's room - mainly get a headboard and maybe some side tables that a bit more sturdy that wooden t.v. trays but it still looks pretty good so far).

We bought the wall decal on Etsy and the seller did international shipping so it came straight to Jake's work.  The tree trunk came in several pieces which made it easier to put on - the trunk was still a two person job.  Anna could peel the leaves and birds off the adhesive sheet so she was a big helper on this project.

We also got around to hanging a new piece of art for Anna's room.  Between Lucy, the camel, on her bed and her new camel art, she's got a bit of a local touch to her green garden room.

Anna thinks the camel at the bottom is lost
and needs to find the other ones.  It's hard to tell
in this picture but the camels are a bit 3-D and
stick off the page a bit.
