Anna's 9th t birthday celebration with friends

You can see that Anna has slotted into life in Washington DC and the U.S. *just* fine and had plenty of (energetic) friends to include in her birthday celebration.  Even though it was February (and COLD for my tender desert-preferring body), she wanted an outdoor laser tag party just like Meredith had in October.  We warned all the parents to send their girls in warm clothes they didn't mind getting muddy and glad we did as many of them were covered in mud by the end.  Oh, and it was also (in true Anna fashion) a unicorn-themed party. Wonder if this was the first cold, outdoor, laser tag in the mud unicorn party ever??

Happy birthday, Anna!

Getting their active duty orders

Big sisters had fun, too

Defensive positioning

Rambo Anbo - looks the part!

Sniper position

The fierce battalion

Lots of guns pointed at me - I don't think I stand a shot of escaping...and note how Anna is already in a defensive position hiding behind Kai!

This was a loud part of the party - fired up and energized but inside.  We had to loan a few of the girls some dry clean clothes as they took their positions outside very seriously and hid under bushes in mud puddles and all.
