End of semester adventures

Autumn turned to winter and then all of the sudden, we're closing out the school year for Christmas break.  How did that happen?

Alumni event at the United Arab Emirates embassy in DC for our beloved Abu Dhabi school - the American Community School of Abu Dhabi.  Fun to catch up with old friends and make some new ones - all with a shared Abu Dhabi connection

Thankful when friends passing through for work take time to come hang out with us for dinner.  Hanging out with Eric brought back a lot of fond Abu Dhabi memories - jus wish he brought his whole family with him!

Picking out our first REAL tree in 8 years!

Found one!  Kids were amazed that we really did strap it on top of our car ("Just like in the movies!")

Handel's Messiah at the Washington National Cathedral.  Sadly Meredith and  Regan were a bit bored silly...

Time to decorate the tree!

Jake and all his girls

Anna decided that hot apple cider is a-ok.

Jane's middle school choir.  She's in an all-girls' school but the boys' school joined the performance as well.

Gorgeous sunset at our house

Our first snow!

Part of the Cookie "Mom"sters at Regan's school.  We brought winter themed cookies and treats to surprise the girls.  Loved getting to see Regan in her own 'habitat!'

Regan's art was on the wall - fun to see.  Her's is the coffee cup one on the top

Jake sent us snowman flowers!  Just 'cuz

Regan's winter dance performance

Me taking a side road to dash from Regan's dance performance to Meredith and Jane's choir performance.  Eek - check out the roads!!  And Meredith ended up sick so I was scrambling to find a sitter to come stay with her so I wouldn't miss Jane. Whew, what a day.

Anna's Christmas concert!
