With just Jake and me in town we thought we should do something that we wouldn't normally be able to do with the kids there. So we came up with golf. We decided we were pretty tough and could handle the heat so a tee time in Dubai was made. And then the next day hit...

Car thermometer literally on our way to the golf course. 49 Celsius = ....get this...120 Fahrenheit. Yup, believe it or not, we kept driving. I'm not sure if it's because we were *that* dedicated or if it was because the golf course had a 24 hour cancellation policy so we were paying whether we showed up or not. But wow, was it hot out there.

Jake's new hat looked great - only problem was he said his sweat was like a river at the front dripping down near his golf ball. A bit distracting when trying to swing a golf club.

Sun is heading down soon. Temperate was down to a very, very playable 96 degrees or so by the end. We had a nice round with an Irish and Scotsman. I skipped a few holes to keep a cold towel on me but we made it 15 holes before it got too dark to see. Not our best game but still a fun way to spend the late afternoon/ evening.
