Happy Halloween 2014

Once again the girls enjoyed our Fall Festival at school (the last Thursday in October each year) which is quite the event with each class setting up a booth with a fun old fashioned carnival game to earn candy.  There is also entertainment by the kids and a haunted house put on by the high school kids (which we've never been into since it is reportedly very scary!).  And trick or treating in our neighborhood on the 31st is a festive outing as well.  This year it was a little different as we didn't have Regan with us!

The decorations were already up during the school day

My little fairy (with light-up wings!), vampire and pirate

Jane and her teacher from last year as Captain Underpants.  Best. Costume. Ever.  She had the crowd roaring during the costume parade!

Carving a pumpkin.  They are ridiculously expensive here so we usually just get one small one.

Getting ready to trick or treat with our three little ones plus a cat friend

My friend Becky and her daughter joined us for trick or treating - their first Halloween in Abu Dhabi

The whole gang of dressed-up kids in our compound (plus a few friends)

Time to divvy up the loot

The negotiations are taken very seriously!
