Summer wedding in UK

After our week in Paris, we took the Eurostar through the Chunnel under the English Channel over to the UK. Jake's good friend and old roommate from San Francisco was finally getting married.  We met his fiance the last time we were in San Francisco and are just thrilled that they found each other when they were both working in Hong Kong.

The wedding was just wonderful and was hands-down the most kid friendly wedding I have ever attended.  Many of their friends and siblings had kids and they definitely made a huge effort to make this an even that the kids would enjoy, too.  Our kids definitely did.

We all stayed in Windsor and they arranged shuttle buses to take us out to the country to the ceremony and reception.  It was a beautiful old country church down a lovely winding green tree-lined street.  I can't believe we didn't get a single photo of the bride and groom.

Meredith was still feeling a rotten but I did get her to the doctor the day before the wedding.  She gave us a prescription for antibiotics that we were hopeful would help her feel better.  I was impressed that we could get into a doctor with relatively short notice - the hotel did a great job of figuring it out for me when I contacted them from Paris asking about a doctor.

The rainy weather of Paris came to a close and we had nice sunny weather the whole time - since the reception was outside we were so happy it was sunny on that day.

The kids loved their group of seats around a table on the Eurostar between Paris and London.  You can tell that they had fun with their stuffed animals on the trip

Our pretty girls all dressed up for the wedding.  Once we received the "Save the Date" card, hey spent hours dress shopping online for coordinating (but not matching) dresses. I think they did a great job.

The darling English countryside church was across the road from a nature zone where we could take a little walk before the ceremony

Anna loved the nature preserve and the hiking trails.  She didn't let the fluffy dress slow her down at all.

The garden was complete with a great (hidden) kids' zone with a giant trampoline!
Kid friendly muchies, too - strawberries, chips, lemonade, etc.
