We seemed to have evolved into a tradition where the girls do a show for us on Christmas Eve. We love it and I hope this continues as they get older and even if we manage to spend a Christmas Eve with more than just our immediate family at some point (although they may be too shy for that).
Unfortunately we had a last minute performance change when Meredith decided she was going to boycott the show due to creative differences with the director. This resulted in tears from the remaining performers because clearly the show could NOT go on without four performers. Luckily understudy Jake was ready to step into the void and save the show!
Last year the girls wrote a play and this year they did a talent show consisting of singing, dancing and Jane's percussion performance. Each performer had two acts and we had music, spotlights and costume changes!
Here are some highlights from the show. I also included a few shots of our Christmas night magic show (Meredith got a magic kit for Christmas from Uncle Dan and Aunt Susan) - prepared to be AMAZED!
Regan and Anna introducing the show
Anna joyfully dancing (with a little bit of singing thrown in)
Oh the weather outside is frightful....
Jane with her interpretive dance and stretching show
Regan sang us a couple of Christmas carols
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
And the performers take a bow!
