We had doughnuts (I know, awful right? - but it's *really* what she wanted - at least each kid only got one mini-doughnut) and strawberry kabobs to celebrate at her school on her actual birthday. We took a special trip to the park in the evening and had her favorite meal (soba noodle stir fry with sugar snap peas) for dinner as well as cupcakes. She really wanted red icing but my food coloring was a bit faulty and only made pink.
On the weekend, we had a small birthday party at a new water park in town that is really designed for small kids Meredith's age. Five of her friends (plus a few siblings) joined us there. Meredith was so cute in coming up with her guest list. She included Regan and Jane's best friends in her list of five. Their friends are so nice to include Meredith when they come to play and Jane's friend has even included Meredith in playdates at her house.
Happy birthday, sweet Meredith!

And the doughnut!
Playing a birthday game at school with Mrs. Mary
A fun weekday trip to a new playground not far from our house and very close to the girls' school
Wow! A pediatrician Barbie!!!
Meredith *loves* Angelina Ballerina
The big girls at the waterpark birthday party
Ameera (Jane's best friend) and Meredith
This was a *big* deal for Regan to try this. She's observed this contraption many times and has been too scared to try it
She did it! But she was pretty nervous about it.
Meredith's friend Ingrid's little sister Agnes and Anna shared a seat for birthday lunch
The water park doesn't allow outside food so we had birthday ice cream cups instead of cake
Playing with a headband/ jewelry kit that Meredith got from Gaga and Grandpa Carl. She nicely shared with her big sisters. That's our wonderful helper, Ms. Leah fixing Regan's hair
