Here are a few pictures of recent months and adventures.
Meredith's nursery class (the Green Dragonflies of Bright Beginnings) recently went on two field trips. One to the Royal Stables of Abu Dhabi. It was on beautiful lush grounds not far from here. They learned about horses. They were able to see where the horses lived, see how the shoes were put on them, see how they were bathed, hear from a vet on how they are cared for and to top off the journey, were able to go on a pony ride. The ride was the highlight and all the kids hopped right on.

Mere's 2nd field trip was to the fish market and fishing boat (dhow) harbor. The kids thought the fish market smelled bad (it did!).

And lastly, all three of the Dragonfly classes put on a wonderful concert for us last week! They sang so many songs (probably 5 or so in English - including a Jolly Phonics song that is part of the British phonics program that many schools here use), a few songs and numbers and alphabet in Arabic and a few songs, colors & counting in French. I was amazed at how well the kids did. Meredith had a giant smile on her face, sang out loudly and did all the hand motions. Her very outgoing friend decided she wanted nothing to do with it and sat there like a cute little lump (it was very unexpected as this little girl is super outgoing and is usually the life of the classroom!). But the kids did a great job (as did the teachers who organized it and taught the kids all the songs and motions).
