Happy Thanksgiving and happy fall!

We were so blessed that for the 2nd year in a row, we had family members come to us for Thanksgiving.  Both Meredith and Anna's schools/ grades have Grandparent's Day that week so it's a good draw for the grandparents.

Grandparents' Day at Anna's school.  What a treat - all four grandparents made it!

First stop: service project at our church where the youth group and their families made 29 giant lasagnas for a ministry called Martha's Table.

Getting the veggie lasagna assembly line ready after all the veggies were chopped.

One of our finished lasagnas.

Meredith's fall concert at the cathedral

Toasting the 52nd anniversary of Gammy and Poppy's FIRST DATE!!!  So impressed they remember and how fun to celebrate with them.

Kelby giving Poppy a tickly kiss

Check out Regan's amazingly beautiful apple pie!!!  She did this all on her own with no grown-up help.

Turkey Trot time

I'm not a runner.  But this made the 2nd 5K I ran in 5 days.  The things I do for my kids....  plus it was 28 degrees this morning.  Brrr.  We earned our turkey and apple pie.

A very DC run - view of the Washington Monument!

Thankful for those around this table and those family members who couldn't be with us.

Enjoying her beautiful creation.  It was yummy, too!

Kelby got a new bed!

Georgetown foodie walking tour - checking out the old C&O Canal (in process of being restored).

Yummy falafel at Falafel, Inc - what a great story about the founder, too.

Meredith is in love with the falafel and wants to go back already.

Martin's Tavern stop on our foodie tour.  We were just happy to have a warm place to sit for a while!  This is where a lot of presidents have been and where JFK proposed to Jackie!
