Heading east for August

After our time in Arkansas, it was time to head east - Tennessee, North Carolina and briefly in Virginia.  We stopped in Smyrna to see Jake's aunt, uncle and cousins - had a great time but managed to not get any photos of anyone but our own kids (how did that happen??).

Next stop a big happy place for our family - High Hampton for a full week and then brief stops in Asheville and Charlotte.

No the photo is not sideways - look at the trail on the left!

Happy birthday to me!  Dan and Susan brought a fabulous (and large!) cake

Our golfing team - we rocked it with a best ball score of 4 over par!

Bingo night at the High Hampton Inn - we have our cards all lined up and ready for a win

Anna was close for cover-all but not close enough!

Our vacation house's nickname was "Sheep Thrills" (it's in the Sheep Laurel neighborhood).  Kids liked that!

Golf cart fun and wind

Annual Cornucopia meal

Annual visit with former neighbors in Charlotte - we usually stop for a swim and a swing (and fabulous company)

Laura and Mary - so thankful for this friendship!

Next stop: Lynchburg, VA to see friends from Charlotte who now live there.  What a treat to catch up with such special people.  Thanks, Watts clan!

So wonderful for Regan to catch up with friend, Carlisle
