Sweet little Meredith just turned six and had a wonderful birthday. We had a family celebration on Friday night (her actual birthday). She literally jumped up and down with excitement about each present she opened. Unfortunately Uncle Dan and Aunt Susan's gift got stuck at customs due to a "forbidden substance" (who knew nail polish was forbidden???). We told them to just remove the nail polish and send the rest of the package. It took a few days but we heard back and they said okay. Well, the package arrives and the nail polish was still in there! Hmmm. In any case, Meredith was thrilled!
The following afternoon we had a small pig-themed party for her friends. She invited three friends and let Regan and Jane each invite a friend, too (wasn't that sweet of her?). We went swimming first and then went back to the house for dinner and playtime. Meredith wanted NO organized games and the girls all played so well together we didn't need to do much to keep them entertained.

| Gammy and Poppy sent Peppa Pigs which made great centerpieces for the party. After *lots* of searching we found raspberry lemonade as Meredith wanted pink lemonade. She also wanted grapefruit (also pink!) as a menu item (as well as kiwis, strawberries, tomatoes and cucumbers) to go with the pizza and pig cupcakes |
